Music Ministry

For most of my adult live, I have been a music minister in the Catholic Church, and for short time, in Episcopal and Lutheran Churches.

Worship with us at Our Lady of Hope Parish in Portland, Maine, where I play at the live stream Mass at 5 p.m. on Sundays. I’ll be the one at the piano. If things ever get back to normal, I normally play about 5 Masses every weekend.

I’m also a music leader the Sebago Lakes Region Parishes of St. Anne’s Gorham, and St. Anthony’s in Westbrook. We may have more streaming Masses soon. I’ll post them here if so.

In addition to solo sing-alongs at the city-owned nursing home, the Barron Center, I am also bassist and vocalist with the Saco River Jazz Ensemble, a non-profit big band dedicated to bringing to nursing homes, veterans homes and elder communities the music they love. That’s me playing the upright bass in the picture below. Unfortunately, our activities are currently not possible during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
